How do I tell for sure if a guy has been burned bad by a girl?

My coworker, never said no to me when I asked him to do something for me, and he always did things for me that I didn't ask him to do and I never saw him do those things for other coworkers.like check in people when he knows I could do the job myself and while he is the mod that nite! (mod = manager on duty).

But there were times where he seemed cynical towards me.or seemed like he was laughing at me.as if he didn't believe me and only saw me as selfish and egotistical.it made me wonder if he had been burned before and I think his true self is that sweet boy that I got to know.who would talk to me and do things for me.

so how do I know for sure if a guy was burned recently?
