Best tip I can give you: ToltecSpirit.com - Read it, embrace it, live it, love it... It's a way of living your life in a "it's not personal" way.. Leaving the bullsh*t and drama to those who need to figure it out, rather than getting yourself involved in another box of worms. It definitely has helped me stay sane over the years.
Second suggestion: Socialize with your friends who are positive influences - Stay away from the drama, but go out and have some fun memories to "offset" the bad ones. Sometimes just having a good laugh is enough to take away the saturday-night blues.
Third suggestion: Look at the smaller picture of your goal - Rather than getting yourself caught up in emotions, just let yourself find a small "step" to improving your life.. For me, I want more cash flow, so I'm getting a job.. Another small step I'm taking is to graduate college, in which I just registered for another term. Having "goals" and "steps" (or a "path" to those goals) will help you stay guided in times of distress.
Fourth suggestion: Take time to yourself - Go on a walk, step outside and breathe some fresh air.. Hell! Maybe pick up that guitar you've been wanting to play and give it a whirl.. Give yourself a break from the outside world and improve your inner peace by taking the time to "pamper" yourself ;D...
Last suggestion: Stay away from drugs / alcohol / other negative influences - If you drink, your gonna get depressed.. The same as with cigarettes and other drugs.. I've even noticed that if I invite a friend over who is pissed off or upset, that sooner or later I start to become pissed off or upset, almost as if it's rubbing off on my attitude towards life. Steer clear from the parasites to your life if you truly want to be happy.

I say its all about finding ways to resolve your stress. Attack the problem head on. But good vigorous exercise is always good. Whether it is aerobics, lifting weights, or a good run believe me you feel better. Then there is always having someone you can talk to. Sometimes you just have to vent and bitch about your problems to get it out there. Then as always SEX is the best outlet for me. =) pick and choose what is good for you. lol

Blow off some steam! go running or work out. I workout to relive stress, if I go a week without working out, I get a little crazy! You need to find positive ways to release energy. It works and is empowering.

i totally agree with you but on top of those issues I have had to deal with hair loss at 16 and that causes tremendous amounts of stress which is worse because emotional stress can cause more hair loss. so I just keep telling myself stress will make it worse and of coarse I still have my emotional breakdown days but I try to do things that keep my mind off what I'm stressing about. I invite a friend over(im to self concious about my hair to go out) and we watch a movie because it keeps my mind of everything...i play guitar and sing because you can't be thinking about the stress when your occupied on singing... I play with my dog...i take deep breathes... I listen to my ipod... I just keep my mind occupied

take time out for yourself! I like to have some tea and listen to chillout music. read a book out in the sun. sleep in on your days off, don't even set an alarm and wake up with a nice big stretch.
only think about what you have to deal with NOW, not next week. that's how I handle my uni assessment. assignment this week, think about my other stuff after I've finished that.

and p.s. yes have definitely been stressed out enough that I want the world to stop, but what's the use in spending my time worrying when I can do something productive?

focus on your future and that helps me a lot. Focus on how you want to some day have your own job that you love, your own house that is beautiful, your own car and no one to boss you around and you can live however you like. focus on surrounding yourself with new friends or just the friends that treat you good and make you happy! Then hopefully some day all your dreams will come true. good luck
