okay I am anorexic with binge tendencies. with basically means I starve myself then I eat a lot then I feel guilt about it then starve myself more then I eat more. its a never ending cycle. I refuse to tell my parents bcuz they will say that I am overplaying it. what can I do to end it. I had both of these eating disorders before (separately) and I cured it myself. any help would be awesome
Your 17. You can go to a doctor without your parents, and talk to them about it. There are also support group's out there that can help. Just google to see which one might be near where you live.
Have you tried talking to a counselor at school? If your parents won't listen to you, you need to look elsewhere for help, and I think school is a great place for that.
I also had both of these problems... it got to the point where when I would eat I would get naseous... you need to look in the mirror and try and find out why you feel lik eyou need to do this... even talk to a school counciler about it... when I was going through this I talked to a school counciler and it helped a lot and that could lead you to getting more help through therapy because the first reason you need to figure out wht you are doing this and then take it from there...
i know how you feel...I used to be overweight and then I stopped eating and lost weight...i was nice and thin for about 2 years and then I began to binge. I would feel like crap afterwards and I always told myself tomorrow I wouldn't do it. Now I gained my weight back...it's like a never ending cycle. try talking with your mom...maybe she knows you have an eating disorder but is afraid to say something. If you can't do that try talking with a therapist or someone...it's hard to do it alone
i've been having the same problem for the past few years. i found that talking with my really close friends about it helped a lot more than talking to some stranger.
P.S. - probably throwing away your scale and measurment tape would help.
If you really want to stop, then start exercising and eating healthy and doing something else with your time.
Volunteer at a hospital or a rescue shelter for dogs. Do something good and important for others - don't just focus on yourself.
Eating disorders can ruin your entire life for years. If you don't have the strength or the will to solve the problem on your own (eat right, exercise to get healthy and feel good, help others, work towards your future not your present, etc.) then get professional help. Therapists can help you sort out whatever problems are actually driving you to do this crap. Eating disorders are a symptom, as I'm sure you already know.
i think my friend has anorexia :(i can tell that she has lost some weight, and she's the type of person to obsess over things. i'm wondering why she...
I've heard that a lot, especially on this site. Whenever someone asks how to be less insecure, more outgoing, how to get someone to notice them, they're told to be more confident. How do they go about...
And men, stop trying to change women too...Gothca! I bet everyone thought this would be another diatribe about how ladies have lost touch with what men need in a modern society.Nah.Both sexes are...
