Question for guys - imagine that you used to have a big crush on a girl (let's call her Girl A) . You went out on a couple of dates with her and thought she was really good fun, but then you met someone else (let's call HER Girl B) who you thought was better suited to you and stopped calling girl A and went out with Girl B instead. You don't know how girl A feels about the whole thing, as you stopped calling her two months ago and she hasn't called you.
If Girl A sent you a "Happy Christmas" text, what would you think?
As the guy receiving the message I would probably think that's sweet and that girl A still liked me. As the guy responding to this question - it seems like you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I've done things like that before and it usually brings back a good result, but it doesn't change anything.
Thanks - that was really wise advice. I didn't say happy Christmas - if I had, I'd have spent the holiday waiting for him to reply, which he probably wouldn't have done. - 11 months ago
