-Be aware of the differences between male and female communication. Neither is better or worse, they're different. There's a good teaser from a book on this subject, and guys and girls should both read it to get inside each other's heads:
link -Do not use hints, then become irritated and accuse us of being oblivious. A hint is indirect communication, and is easier to misunderstand.
-Don't expect us to act like your girlfriends. Men and women are different -- neither is better or worse we're simply different.
-Girls who build their life around a guy. Girls should have goals and ambitions she can strive towards. The stronger your life is apart from a guy, the better a partner you can be.
-Girls who cry as a tactic to win a disagreement and/or end an argument. It's emotional blackmail. Many girls do this automatically because they learned it works when they were very young. But it's unfair, and doesn't really resolve the problem. I don't mean that crying is always a manipulation, but sometimes it can be: I've dated girls who cried during arguments/discussions, and who FREAKED on me when I said "I'm sorry you're sad, but let me know when you're finished and feeling more level-headed so we can resume our discussion." I didn't play their game, and they responded by calling me horrible names.
