I've known him since last year but I really didn't like him that much because I had my eye on this senior... different story. Anyway like, I have 0 period in the morning and sometimes I'm late and like he will be standing with his friends outside and he glances me up and down as I walk by. We have Spanish together and he did it in there too. But we sat next to each other for a while in Spanish and he totally ignored me completely and acted really unapproachable and unfriendly.
Except for when we were doing partner work and he made me feel sort of dumb for like opening the wrong book or something. He would give me this look like "your stupid". He also would go talk to this really social guy that he sort of knew and this girl in his "circle of friends" type thing. He always seemed curious about what I looked like but I don't know if he thinks I'm like ugly or if he's just looking for the heck of it or if he's interested. He seems like shy but I don't know him well enough to know.
Also, there was a time that I walked by him and his friends and it was during class and he saw me but when I was on my way back he positioned himself so that had his back turned in my direction. I don't know what to think. Whats your opinion?
I've been in a situation like that maybe he is scared to approach you because he scared of what his friends will say. If you are interested in the guy take a risk and just say something to him like about Spanish or bring up something you think he will be interested in. Usually guys like that when girls approach cause it shows basically that your confident.
You only gave instances of where he's looked at you then looked away and called you stupid. I'm not really getting what signals are "mixed". Why do you want to hang out with him again? I know teenage boys aren't exactly eloquent, but I think by high school most are out of the ignore girls/be mean to them for no reason stage.
Find someone who thinks you're funny or cute and doesn't act ashamed by your presence.
Even if he does like you it seems like he might be embarrassed by his feelings. The prospect of being with someone like that doesn't seem appealing either.

I'm sure you're a great gal, which is why you need someone who acts like they want to get to know you- not someone who calls you stupid and basically ignores you! My response was composed based on the info you provided. I wish you the best. Really! - 11 months ago
