I have a shy boyfriend now and we are so good together but when it comes to calling him or he calling me...ah It's disaster. I just want him to call but as soon as he does that I what to end the conversation because when I speak in the phone my self confidence is below zero...but he realized that and I don't want him to think that I don't want to talk to him or something because that's not true. So can you tell me why I feel nervous when I talk on the phone?
Is the problem more him or you? I have rarely met a woman, even a shy one that couldn't talk on the phone...Just say what your thinking. Girls have all kinds of things to say. Do you have a problem talking to your friends?
For most of us guys, especially when were younger, talking in person to a cute girl can be hard enough, get us on the phone looking at nothing but a wall and we are freaked out. When I was in my teens and even through college, I didn't date much because I was so afraid of girls. In recent years, I have changed a lot, largely due to experience, good and bad.
Anyway, for your concern, if your anything like I was, your nervous because you like him. You just need to realize that he is even more nervous than you. Girls have many more thoughts then men, let him in on a few of those and you might spark something that gets him to respond better. When your dating, a guy would even be happy hearing about something your friend did with her mom, blah, blah, blah... He just wants to hear your voice.
You guys are fine in person? Maybe he's not much of a phone talker.. OR maybe you're thinking you're ready to say three words (you know which ones I'm talking about!), but are afraid of being rejected.
I really don't know. I've always been one to run my mouth on the phone then be shy in person.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would suggest a small hike on a peaceful trail followed by a nice home-cooked meal, made by me of course, either on-site or back at one of our places. After dinner is over and the conversation has died the date would end with a kiss on the hand and a walk to the car.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My date would know what I am about, who I am, a little about what I do and hopefully whether or not I am a candidate for a second round.
