One of my friends use to get picked on a lot in one of our classes by my other friends and I use to stand up for her because I felt bad for her! So in the process I lost like three friends! And the friends that I did lose now hate and make fun of me and basically stopped bothering her! Now that they're making fun of me the one girl I stood up for said "I don't want to be involved with this anymore!" like it was my problem to begin with. I was OK with that at first because when people make fun of me it doesn't bother me and I thought my old friends were wrong for what they were doing because she always looked like she was on the verge of tears.

Now the girl I stood up for is really mean to me and every once in a while I notice her giving me the dirtiest looks ever. Before I thought she was almost like a best friend and I told her the name of the guy I liked and it seemed like she was really mad they don't know each other! So I know she can't possibly like him! But any how she started telling everyone like it's the daily news or something. And when ever I ask her to hang out with me and some of my guy friends that I kind of like the next thing I know is she's calling me at mid night to say they made out or kissed. And really the only time she calls me is to say Oh my boyfriend broke up with me or how she hates when her friends start dating the guys she likes!..[Her written all over it!!] She calls me to say she made out with one of her friends boyfriends every once in a while!!!

And she's always telling me Oh I'm going to hook you up with so and so. Like I'm desperate or something. And what really makes me mad is its always unattractive guys that have sex with every random girl that will give it up to them! I'm thinking I should just stop talking to her completely because of what she's doing, it's seriously pissing me off! So do you think if I just stop talking to her it'll be the right choice?

Well the girl you helped out sounds really insecure about herself(probably because people pick on her) and she is bragging to you about her hook ups because she needs to feel better about herself, that she can hook up with more guys than you...not that you can't get them but yours are probably much better quality and more meaningful. She doesn't see this and to her hookups=coolness So ditch her she is using you to build her self up and has no respect for you.

Not only would I stop talking to her, but I would bitch her out before I did it. You made that skank popular and now she's turning her back on you? What an ungrateful bitch. Those same flaky friends that she's hanging with will soon turn on her just like she did you and she will regret it.

Sometimes we do kind things for friends or people being wronged only to find ourselves wondering why we ever felt sorry for them in the first place. So much of it has to do with age, but mostly it has to do with toxic personalities. I think what you did was very admirable and all these girls should be happy to have someone like you as a friend. Too bad they don't act that way, right? I don't know if I would eliminate all contact with your current friend just yet. I think you should tell her (away from school or maybe in an email) how she makes you feel and let her know her behavior kind of sucks. Then at that point if she doesn't acknowledge the way she acts I would cut her out of my circle of friends. Good luck with everything!

Yeah. Just stop talking to her. Don't let her step all over you just like that. And whenever she tries to make fun of you point out that at least you don't need anybody to defend you from other people. Also make her remember that if it wasn't for you, people would still be making fun of her. But don't feel bad because words can't hurt anybody unless they aren't sure about themself.

I think its just a bunch of high school drama to be honest with you. I hate to put it out to you like that but it is what it is. They are immature for making fun of anyone and that's all it is is immaturity. No one should be made fun of. It's your choice whether or not you want to talk to her anymore. I would keep to yourself if I were you. Getting caught up in the drama only causes more problems and makes existing ones worse. Try your best to be the mature one and ignore them.
