The only excuses I find myself making are to my family when he doesn't attend a dinner party, birthday celebration, etc. I tell them that he's busy working, which is usually true, so maybe that isn't an excuse so much as a reason. Otherwise, nope, if he's a fool, I tell it like it is!
Excuses for guys? yeh all the time, but usually I find that you can come up with more excuses when you are actually dating them, rather than after you have taken a step back and just think to yourself. Yep he was a jerk and I was an idiot =)
Behaviour : He stops calling you so much
Deluded Excuse : He's really busy at the moment, he is going away on holidays, maybe his phone died, maybe he just playing hard to get, maybe he is just taking a breather and he'll be back in no time at all, maybe he wants to save on phone credit
Real excuse : He's totally losing interest in you, or has already. N is too busy spending all him time with other girls that he can't pick up the phone and call you lol
Behaviour : Doesn't take you out anymore
Deluded excuse: Hes saving for someone really big at the moment, he's caught up with (insert lame excuse here), he took you out to some really nice places before so he is just having a rest blah blah blah
Real excuse: He actually isn't interested in you enough to take you out anymore and doesn't know why you don't get the bloody picture
Ok so I say these things because I want to emphasise something. N that is, you can tell a lot about what a guy thinks about you, from what he does and how he behaves! Guys don't talk out their feelings like chicks. They act out like they feel. Don't worry if a guy likes you, then he will beat down doors to get to you. You just have to be trusting enough to let him chase you.
Sorry a little off topic but in answer to your question "how does it work out" I think there is a point in time, where you stop being so deluded with how things are going and finally see what has been happening the whole time - but I only know that from my own experience lol
Yes, yes, yes, thanks. It's not just me - most women I know spend hours reasoning out excuses for the men in their lives, thinking situations through thoroughly and battering possibilities to death. All of this "thinking" does eventually lead to delusion. - 10 months ago
