Hi, this happened a while ago and I remembered about it and since I never knew what it meant, I thought I'd ask you.
I was "flirting" with this guy who at the time I thought was the man of my life, I even thought someday we might end up married (although of course I didn't mention it ever) and I think he flirted back, I'm very sure he knew I liked him a lot and his best friend told me he liked me back, except he liked me for a serious relationship given my personality and not to fool around which was what he wanted at the time. I was fine with that, considering I'm a virgin and wanting to keep it that way,I thought it would be great that he fooled around all he wanted and when we was ready he'd come to me, that way preventing future "cheatings" so to speak. My other friend (girl) told me she'd talked to him and that he wasn't attracted to me and such, I thought he's best friend would know best so I listened to him, besides knowing his friend wouldn't lie to me because he's very straight forward. And this girl was just jealous and and trying to hurt the "relationship". Needless to say this girl and I aren't very good friends anymore.
One day we all went out, he was quite drunk and in the car (being just the two of us) he dedicated this song to me that said something about a guy giving up on the girl he loved (I'd die for you sort of love) because he was afraid to hurt her, the song went in a way that sounded as the guy was telling her that if the girl didn't want him he'd go away for good. Since he knew I desperately wanted him (and I'm very shy about situations like this) I just looked at him in a puzzled way.
After this we stopped seeing each other becuase I had to go away for a little bit and when I came back I came only to realize he was with the girl he'd been pursuing since we met, she has an amazing body and will easily put out with whoever crosses her path. I thought it'd be over after the deed was done but he kept going back to her even though she said she didn't love him and she hurt him in so many ways. And every time we run into each other he won't even acknowledge my presence, he'll completely ignore me and get "cuddlier" with this girl. Why would he act like this? He's 28 it's not like he's an 18 year old immature kid..(no offense to all 18 yo since not all of you are immature, just trying to get a point across =)
He seems insecure in his own way. Maybe he just discovered apart of him that he enjoys using that he hadn't realized before. Right now This guy is using the wrong head to do his thinking and though he probably shouldn't, as long as he is getting what he wants "down there" he's not going to worry about what his heart ultimately wants. Stay persistent and maybe even pull in another guy just to get your sights away from him for a time and see what happens.
I'm kinda going thru the same kinda thing with a guy, even tho i've tryed my best 2 move on I cant. so all the advise I can give you is never trust guys coz they never care about girls feelings and how it makes them feel. I hope you find sum1 better.
