I met my friend a year ago and since then we hang out everyday. I wake up to text messages from him asking what i'm doing today...almost every morning.
He has a girlfriend, whom he complains about to me all the time about how she doesn't compromise and how she is extremely sensitive and takes everything personal, but he is such a good guy he would never hurt her and he does care for her. She went home for a week and I hung out with him just the two of us like it used to be and it was great! We went out every night and had so much fun.
Then the girlfriend came back and we went to a party and they just were sitting on the couch all night not talking or mingling to anyone and that's not like him (when it was just us partying he was talking to everyone and having a good time). Everyone we meet swears that we are more than friends but nothing has ever happened. I care for him so much (obviously more than a friend but he is my best friend and I would do anything for him regardless) and I know that the way she treats him that he deserves better someone who will appreciate him (someone who doesn't care if he wants to watch a scary movie or sports or play video games cause it's about compromise). I just don't know how he feels and he keeps sending all these mixed signals.
I would say give him a green light to kiss you and see what happens.
Or maybe he is trying to play games w/ his gf by being really close to you? I would NEVER do that but I think it happened to my sister. I really don't know about this one but I think if he really likes you then you should tell him how you feel.
Be up front with him, he's as close a friend as you say he is, then you shouldn't have any problems getting answers out of him. You should never be afraid of your best friends.
we all know that your brain is the rational part of us ( telling us NO, don't do this you'll get hurt) and our hearts are the naive parts of us that...
