I'm just like April from the movie Definitely, Maybe. I'm the really good friend who wants to be more, but the guy friend doesn't see it.
We've been talking for an hour and a half now, and not just your normal friend conversation. He told me about his past--a story that he told me he's never told anyone before. So that mean, outside of his family, I'm the only person who knows this about him.
To follow this anecdote, he told me what he really wants in life...who he hopes to be.
Our conversation lightened a lot to where he mentioned that he kept a cartoon drawing I gave him a few years ago and that he still really liked it. He told me I could draw him anything whenever and he'd keep it. We then made a deal to draw each other a picture.
At some point, I went to his myspace profile and I noticed that he had recently changed his status to being in a relationship. I keep asking questions, hinting at it, but he won't tell me that he's dating anyone.
Why wouldn't he tell me if we're such good friends? Why would he tell me about his past when he wouldn't tell anyone? Is it just because we're good friends?
Update: Ok, I reread the beginning of this and it made it sound like we just met and were sharing life stories after only an hour and a half. Let me just say that we've been good friends for a few years now.
