I don't know if you remember that girl I liked a couple of weeks ago. Well I asked her out (over texting) around a week and a half ago. And of course she said yes very enthusiastically and then went on and on about how it made her day that I asked her and didn't care that it was over texting. Well when we were going out we basically hung out at school everyday and had many wonderful and exciting conversations. We seemed to have really progressed and were going to last awhile. However, I thought I was being a little too clingy, and would always text her rather than call her which I regret. We never did hang outside of school when we were going out, but we still acted as if we were a couple and would basically spend our whole day at school with each other. 3 days ago, she said she couldn't go on our date because she had to make dinner for her family, and I had a suspicion that maybe I was more crazy about her than she was about me, so I texted her, "You still like me right" and her reply was, "I don't know. I wish I liked you more than I already do. " So I called her and asked her about it, and basically she said that she thought I liked her more than she liked me, and she wanted to end the relationship on good terms, and she was really sorry. So then right after that I texted her saying, "Goodnight Franny" and she replied, "Night Sean :)" The next day, we met at school and talked about our relationship she said that she has a problem saying "no" to people and that she didn't like me as much as I thought. I think she used that as a cover up for being frightened though, because I was her first boyfriend and she came from a school that had 12 kids in her grade so she wasn't used to a wide dating scene. At school, she said she wanted to remain really good friends and gave me a huge hug where we held on for a long time, and then we said goodbye. Honestly, I can't stop thinking about her and really want her back, I hope that after awhile of not talking to her, she'll realize that she liked me all along, we always had a blast when we were together. Do you think that is a fantasy or a reality?
Fantasy. She has already told you three times that it isn't working out. Once, through a text ("I don't know. I wish I liked you more than I already do.") and again on the phone (she said that she thought I liked her more than she liked me), and finally in person (she said that she has a problem saying "no" to people and that she didn't like me as much as I thought.).
She also told you why (she said that she has a problem saying "no" to people and that she didn't like me as much as I thought.).
She also told you what she wants out of the relationship (she said she wanted to remain really good friends and gave me a huge hug ) and (she wanted to end the relationship on good terms).
I don't think she can be any plainer than that. Believe it or not, you will stop thinking about her in time. May not seem like it now, but when you are older, you will see the folly in your behavior. Sorry it has been rough, but it WILL get better. Good Luck.
