Is this an excuse to break up?

Not necessary he could of took it the wrong way. He might think that because your holding on to the pictures that you still have feelings for your ex. I would confront him on this because you deserve to know if it was an excuse. I would have to go with that he took it the wrong way hope you figure it out.

This is a very immature reaction on his part. Its his problem, not yours. I would break up with him, and move on.

I know I'm not a guy, but I just wanted to put my two cents in. I think his actions are ridiculous. EVERYONE has had a previous boyfriend or girlfriend. I cannot believe that someone would be that insecure to break up over an old picture. I've seen pictures of my boyfriend's old girlfriends and I could care less. Sounds like he is immature and not ready for a real relationship.
