I just broke up with him and we were together for 5 years. We have a little baby and on her birthday instead of meeting with me when it was convenient for me, since I am the one who works, he went to the casino, and met some girl. How can men do that with no remorse? Did he do it to make me mad because he knows it would, or is he just thinking with his "other" brain? Ugh that makes me sick.
Take it easy girl, it is apparently that you got the wrong guy, in spite of the good time and the love you had with him. men are so different than women, did you ask your self why do you work! because you care about your child and you wants to have good life fore her, so you do feel responsibility here, on the other hand your ex doesn't.
if you are looking for an answer for this question I would recommend you to go back in time and see when he was responsible for something, like you for example! he seems a careless person, so why to bother? live your life and get over him, you have something that is very precious to you know "your baby" so live for her :-)
I just started reading this book on how to deal with break ups. Its say that men & women react differently to break up situations. Women have a harder time opening up to other men once they've gotten hurt. They avoid this pain by denying themselves to love again, so it takes them longer to find that someone. Men on the other hand deal with pain by keeping himself busy at work, or rush into another relationship right away. Rushing into another relationship doesn't mean, the guy didn't love you, its their way of trying to deal with pain.
Personally for me, even though this book kinda explains why men can move on so fast, it doesn't take away the pain that females experience. Sometimes I wish males & females can switch brains, just so that guys can see how it feels what they've done to us with their actions =(
He's a jerk. My ex did the same thing and it took me almost 3 months to figure out it was nothing I did, it was just that he was an ass. Guys think differently than women though, I don't know if that really has anything to do with it or not. I know it makes you feel like shit, and question if you ever meant anything at all to them. I don't have all the answers, but I can relate to how you are feeling.
Not all guys think that way or think with the other brain. Only the immature ones. Which sounds like you got one of those unfortunately. Have him watch the baby one night and go out and have some fun. You don't have to meet anyone just get out and live a little.
