Its my ex boyfriends 19th b-day this Friday (the 14th) and I was wondering if I should give him anything for his b-day. I have been working on a drawing of what a car he's restoring is supposed to look like when he finishes it and I've been working on it off and on for the past few months. It was supposed to be my gift from the heart for him for Christmas but I didn't get it done. Anyway I finally found more time to work on it and its almost done so I was thinking about giving him that on his b-day (I just need to get a frame for it) and I got a cool street sign to go with it (he loves cars). Anyway he's been busy or so he's said and so I haven't really seen him or heard from him since he broke up with me in January. I just seen him like 3 times and I don't know if he even wants to be friends anymore since he surely would have found time somewhere to at least call or something and he hasn't. Should I still give him a gift at all? Or would he not even like to be given a gift from me? He said he still wanted to be close best friends but he's just been REALLY BUSY and so I try to believe him but I can't help but wonder if he doesn't even care anymore. I dated him for almost 3 years then he just for some reason I still haven't figured out broke up with me out of the blue. I called him and left a message last week asking what he was doing on his b-day and if I could bring his something and wish him happy birthday but I haven't heard back from him. Should I stop by his house and just leave him what I made him and maybe something else or not give him anything at all? Or maybe just call and leave him a b-day message on his answering machine on his b-day?

Well in my opinion what you should do is leave him alone for now, if he's really busy like you say he is then he IS busy!! otherwise, if he hasn't answered your call, then its probably a message for you to leave him alone. I wouldn't give him his b-day present even if I was planning to give it to him before, id save it for myself as a cute souvenir.

I will tell you to follow your heart and do whats right for you, honestly, if you want to call him,, do so! if you don't, then forget about him!
