My ex and I broke up six months ago - he left me. Needless to say it was painful, awful, humiliating and all the rest of it. I told him I never wanted to speak to him again (he did a couple of really awful things which don't really need detail).

Anyway, guys - why wouldn't you delete your ex off your msn or yahoo? I have him blocked, but can't bring myself to delete him (yes, I know - I'm a wimp).

But, he hasn't deleted me? Why? For him, it's over - so why not get rid of me completely?

Sorry - I should say, I definitely know that he hasn't deleted me. He keeps the programs open all day, as do I since we both work in offices.

Do you want him back? Because he may want you back.

Secondly, he may just want to be your friend and he hopes that you can get past the things that happened in the past. The best way is to unblock him and talk to him. Everyone deserves a second chance ;)

First off, are you sure he didn't delete you? I think on msn, even if he deletes you, he would be on your list unless you delete him. Not sure about yahoo. So if you are not sure, I would say check that first, it may be a technical misunderstanding :)

If he really didn't delete you.
a) he didn't even think about it, forgot, didn't pay attention. Which means he is not thinking about yout at all.
b) he is still curious. Just to see when you are online, maybe open a conversation if you both are online, become friends with benefits?

My guess is, if he didn't delete you, it's because he likes to keep some things there, just in case.

Ah...been there done that. Ouch. I personally hold on to things as a sign of my willpower.

This guy sounds like he did a number on your feelings. I know from experience that you can't move forward until you press delete! You are focusing way too hard on someone that obviously isn't relationship material for you.

The real question should be why you can't let his guy go. 6 months? It's time for you to move forward. When was the last time you had a date? Sex? Please don't think of this as an attack on your feelings. All I am saying is if you are not ready to date, get a hobby, take a class, get a second job...do something to get your mind off of someone that isn't thinking about you.

I know you can do it. I wish you the best.

I don't think guys pay as much attention to that stuff. I know girls do. We'll stare at that damn icon for hours wondering if it'll blink. Guys just don't do "housekeeping" stuff and his keeping you there may not mean anything but that he's lazy.
