Does my ex want me back or not?

omg same situation with me.my girlfriend gives me mixed message .cus we work togheth aswell so I c her evryday but she luks like she dsnt care but she told me yesterday and text me sayin she still cares just need to b ther 4eachother.she neva textes me but I text her but I need not text whichi iv started frm tday and c what she does.shes going thru a patchy tim cus we went spain two weeks ago and it was horrible what hapened between us but she says she still loves me but was hurtin me toomuch.i just wana know if I will get bak with her cus she hasn't said its ova she just said wer not toghetha but we can b friends so I'm guna just giv it time and c.i still hug her and kiss her on her shoulder like I always do just want her bak hopefully I will::((.its hard to know how my ex is thinkin to .hes probably to scared to ask you to b bak toghetha cus I hvnt said that yet cus I dnt know what shell say.just meet up togetha sumtime and have a talk.make I'm know you love him as much so he knows you love him asmuch.

The basic problem in this relationship is abence of communication. You both are trying to guess what the other person is thinking and trying to react to that. This clearly shows lack of trust. I noticed the following :

1. "He is really insecure and he covers it up with arrogance so I find it really hard to know what he is thinking".

2. "He convinced himself that I didn't love him as much as he loved me."

When there is trust, if the other person said that she loves you, you would believe him. When there is trust, there is no reason to go into the other person's mind try to double guess what he is thinking. You could simply ask and the answer has to be taken at face value.

Clearly, both of you are still hurt from past relationships and are not yet ready for a deep relationship. If that is the case, either seek counseling or allow sufficient time for healing before starting a new relationship.

No he would not just ask you back. You said he was insecure maybe he will feel you will reject him. Show him you love him more than he thinks that you do. Take him out who says the guy always needs to take the girl out. Show him something that is special to him and make it special to you. Show him you have a guard and you are afraid to be hurt. Let him know that is your biggest fear is being hurt but that when he left the hurt wasn't your fear anymore it was that he wasn't coming back. Let your guard down now from personal experience guards push people away and they can't understand the true you when your to afraid to be hurt. Stop being afraid and show him how much you care about him make it about him emotionally and he will have a response for you.

I think you two should talk about things and be very upfront.
Ask him, "Do you want me back then"?
Find out what you need to know first.
Tell him why you have your guard up- obviously because you don't want to get hurt-he will understand.
Tell him how much you really do love him- that is, if you also want him back.
Talking to HIM is the best way to find out if he wants you back :)
