My ex broke up with me. We were together almost 2 years. It was pretty serious. I think he started to get sick of having a girlfriend. He felt tied down, and in some ways it probably felt like he already had the commitment of marriage with me.
My question is, is this normal for a 20 year old guy to feel, or does it mean that if we ever got back together, it would just happen again?
The break up came out of the blue, he never showed any signs of fearing commitment or anything.
Update: The thing is... he says he fell out of love with me. I don't see how anybody could lie about that. It must be true. I just don't understand how he could fall out of love in under a month. Do you guys still think he just got sick of having a girlfriend?

he's 20, yeah of course he freaked out its like realizing you jumped from adolecence right into adult hood, give him a little space then talk it out. it'll probably be the best

Ya definitely, it doesn't mean he doesn't care for you anyless or whatever. he just needs some space he's 20, going through some sh*t (growing up, school work, whatever) he's just probably crowded right now and put a stop to the thing that took up most of his time. just talk to him if he's a good guy he'll talk to you and hopefully let you know where he's at - 19 days ago
totally could get back together. Just be yourself and don't be all sad and depressed you got dumped. Be fun loving and just be like whatever with him. He will see your not a ball and chain but truly a fun loving happy person
