Well it depends if you love them or not its different, but I would attack it like this. Hey I like you a lot and I want to be with you but I'm young and I don't know what I want and I don't want to hurt you ok. I mean we can remain friends and have fun still but this is for the better I know you have been thinking the same even tho you don't tell me, but were young its not the end of the world because I still love you, its just sometimes people need space to think about other things ok. There is no easy way to break-up with someone, but, if "it's not him", "It's You", then be honest, tell him the truth, just do it.

I would recommend just being honest. I know at least when I've been broken up with the hardest thing was not knowing why. My boyfriend agrees, not knowing why is really hard.
