Let's say it has been days, weeks or months later after you or he or she does the breaking up. What actually helps you to wake up every morning and continue on with your life?

I have some sleepless nights where I'll have no sleep for like more than 1 day. I won't eat, sleep, just mope in bed and go through the self pity phase. that usually lasts for a wk at most. then I'll begin the healing process of venting and telling myself that things will be fine. I'll go to the gym and stay there for about 3 or 4 hours taking my anger out. if there's a walk in aerobic or tae-bo walk in class I go and just get all that angst out. I'm not a violent person but sometimes visualizing punching my exes is a stress reliever. if the exercise still doesn't help I'll up the ante by getting a make-over. that usually means doing something with my hair. if I'm being emotional I play the cello. that's probably the only thing that really calms me down. music.

I sound like a psycho chick. lol sorry if I startled anyone.

I think of the saying my grandma use to tell me. Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs to find the prince. And that's how it works for me

You have to be completely positive, and realize he may not be the one, someone out there is waiting for me, and I'm going to find him. Your still you, and someone else will fall in love with you, all of you, for being you, just like your ex did, and one door will open to another door closing <3

Positive thinking that there is always rainbow after the rain, think that I deserve better to be loved and care. Do something that I never did while I was with him because he didn't allow me to do. Just be free. For awhile before make another relationship. And keep cheers and smile. And show to him that my world still go on without him.

I have found it helpful to find something that I enjoy doing and pour myself into it or to work on myself - setting some goals for myself of things I would like to accomplish and doing them - it really helps you get your mind off what happened while you are healing. Break ups can leave emotional wounds, which, like physical wounds, only heal if you leave them alone. If you keep picking at them, they will continue to hurt and bleed and remain open. But, if you put a band aid on them and leave them alone for awhile, they will heal. Then, when you take off the band aid, you won't even know that you had a wound there. Some other wounds are deeper and take more time to heal. Keeping your mind off them and leaving them alone works. Dwelling or meditating on the problem doesn't help - it only makes you feel worse - like picking at your wounds! That is my opinion so far. Find some goals that you can achieve and work at them. Make up your mind to not think about things for as long as possible. Hope that helps.

Stay busy, date someone else to get them off ur mind. They are the pass therefore put it behind you and move on. Yes, there's a feeling that there is no one like them but there is someone better. time will heal.

Honestly, as dorky as it sounds, write a letter to that person, outlining everything you`re feeling. The angry, why you think it happened, EVERYTHING. You don`t necessary have to give it to that person, but it helps to get out all the emotions. I use my music to help me. I tell myself the only way I can listen to my music is to go to class, go outside, whatever. But I only listen to it when I feel so low and I NEED to get out and do something. It really does work.

Well. When I went through a break-up I thought I wouldn't survive or know what to do. But then I remembered that its okay to move on. And somewhere out there THERE IS someone out there for you. Just have to wait!

What helps me wake up is my family, school, people I love and spend time with a lot. Works Great!

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
PICK UP LINES SUCK!!!! really they do I believe that the best way to impress a girl is to either be funny or yourself, I opt for the latter although I am a bit weird :P ok a lot weird O_o

How do they typically respond?
That depends on the person some people love certain things others hate those same things you can never tell how a person will react
