Why is he still keeping in touch?

First you should be yourself. Acknowledge the break up and tell him you think it was a good idea that you two have some time apart. Try to act calmly and maturely in all your communications with him. If you act or sound desperate or like a crazy girl it won't work. You also don't have to act stand offish. Just be yourself. That's who he liked in the first place so be confident.

You should talk ot him about it. If you want to get back together with him, you need to let him know. Tell him you want to try the relationship again. He seems to want you back too. THe only way to know for sure is to talk to him about it.

Well, maybe you should just be honest. Tell him that you're not trying to make it seem like it bothers you, but you want to know where the texting has come from. Be nice and ask him if he's just trying to keep in touch or if there's something more.
If he loves you and wants to work things out, it'd be his perfect opportunity to come clean!

you know what's strange? I'm going through the same exact thing. me and my boyfriend broke up and now he's calling me. What I'm doing in my situation is playing it cool. Meaning, I want him back bad as ever, but he doesn't know that. I'm making him think that I'm cool with the whole breakup. (whick I'm really not.) I believe it's drawing him closer because he's calling EVERYDAY now and he's even going on my myspace page just to look at my picture on my page. Anyway, to make a long story short, I think when you act like you don't care or you'll cool with the breakup, it makes them want you more. You play it cool and if he still loves you and wants you back, you'll get him back. don't push it.
