My ex and I broke up on very good terms after about 3 months cause we didn't have enough in common. Would it be weird to text/call her to catch up considering we haven't spoken for a couple of months. I'm not trying to get her back, just want to stay friends.

Yeah I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as you're not playing with emotions. But as long as it was on good terms sure. I'm still good friends with most of my ex's.

Why would still want to maintain the friendship? Is it because you miss her? Do you think it may be difficult for her? It's not weird to get in contact with her but be certain that your intentions are clear or you may find yourself in awkward situation when she has someone else, or when you have someone new.
