Would anyone ever be friends with an ex? Guys, are you friends with an ex girlfriend and if so, are there any feelings left there? I've been friends with my ex boyfriend for almost three years now and sometimes I can still feel the emotions come out from both of us. It's not strong but I can tell. We've both since moved on and dated other people but I was just wondering.

It depends on the break up. I normally don't keep friendships with the girls I have dated most of the time emotion do redraw out again. I just know when the relationship is over it's time to move on and try to find a better person to be with.

I'm not sure you can ever really be just friends with an ex. Emotions, shared experiences, and memories tend to clutter things up!

I seriously think it depends on how serious the relationship was and/or how much you two feel about each other. If it was short/you only liked the person, then it is possible after a short period of no contact. If the relationship was long/you or that person loved one another then the chances start to diminish.
Yeah, sure everyone wants to be friends with an ex, especially if the friendship was a good/great one. But we risk the friendship for a relationship, and when a relationship doesn't work out we tend to forget that we've also put the friendship at stake. Sometimes moving on is the best thing.

I've tried the whole being friends with my ex and for me it doesn't work, I think it depends on how close you were to each other in the relationship and how much you loved that person. I definitely don't want to be around when my ex gets another girlfriend.
