My ex is away on vacation and even though its been a few months I still think about him. I think about special moments that happened on our dates, intimate moments, and even how he smells and how he felt.

Do guys do this too or is it just over and all their emotions cut off from the girl when its over?

I think it depends on the guy, some people are more in touch with their emotions. It doesn't mean they don't have them. I think the only difference is that up until pretty much the last half century, guys have had to hide them, and while we are still seeing the residual cultural effects of the entire history of the human race telling guys to "suck it up" and "bite the bullet" . the tide is changing, and things are changing.

I think if the relationship ends and he doesn't have feelings for you, then he probably won't feel anything.

However, if the relationship sort of has a rocky break up, I would think the guy would still feel something and remember something.

I have.

Question Asker Does it make any difference when you do - or is it easy to just think of it as the past and look foward to being with new women? - 3 months ago
cavalier This all depends on the relationship. I'm not sure what you want us to tell you. - 3 months ago
Answerer I don't think its really easy to just not think about someone who is on your mind. I know I try to look forward, but its hard. Usually you just have to let time heal. - 3 months ago

Well, I was on the phone with my ex and I drove past a restaurant we used to go to a lot. I said "OH, I just passed #&*($) that made me sad.how come you don't do those things*" and he said."that's where you're wrong. I do. Maybe not as much as you because you seem to do it when there aren't even reminders. (Like, I would be sitting at home and think of a time we went to the movies when there was NOTHING to remind me of it) But, of course if I see things that remind me of you. There's times where I see something and think 'Oh, I have to call Jane and tell her', but then I realize I can't."
And actually, he is going on vacation next week with him family. I went with him the last time they went to that beach, so I asked him "Aren't you a little sad that I'm not gonna be with you" and his answer was "Right now I'm not because I'm busy with work and don't have time to really think about my personal life. But, I am sure that when I get there I will be, sure"

So, to answer your question, if the guy ever had feelings for you, then yes, he will probably think of things like that sometimes. But, I do believe girls tend to do it more. We're just more emotional beings.
