he gave it to me half way through the relationship. we were together about 4 years and he acts like he didn't care about anything that happened between us. now was I wrong for giving it back?

I think that it will hurt you more than it hurt him. I had I LOVE YOU RING given to me after 6 months.we were together for three years. I also have this expensive necklace he bought me for my bday last year. I originally said he can have it.but I realized that it didn't hurt him AS MUCH as it hurt me. So I took them back. I would just say you decided to keep it for now.and when the time is right you might sell it or something.
