We had been to counseling for 5 sessions. He moved out after a big disagreement. We had been mad at each other for several days because I wanted him to spend more time together. He draws three nights a week and I wanted my time with him to work on our problem of communication. So anyway, I told him that he still loves me. He has been away for three weeks and we have made love four times. We talk daily. He still wants to do the counseling thing. We went out on a date last night. He says he is still mad and hurt; and does not know if he still loves me. But his mannerisms prove otherwise. He sits right next to me on the swing at his moms when there is another spot. He kisses me and hugs me when he comes over to see his daughter or to work on our house together. He talks to me about things recently. I believe with his mannerisms and his willingness to go to counseling, that he still loves me.

Update: He left because he says I am mean and judgemental. He started a new hobby of drawing a comic strip and he says he had to do it three or four times a week. We started counseling and we were supposed to communicate. But how could we. We never saw eachother.    2 months ago

Maybe. He's clearly trying very hard to make the relationship work, but that doesn't guarantee his love. An analogy would be, I force myself to exercise, even though I don't want to.

However, the sex, kisses, and overall change in mannerisms is a good sign he may care. And let's face it, I don't think he'd be doing any of this if deep down he didn't care at least a little.

So, definitely don't lose hope.
