My Ex and I broke up and didn't talk to 3 months. I made efforts to talk to her with e-mails and messages on myspace and such and suddenly after I write a long message to her she sends me a txt and we talk via txt about simple things. Nothing about the relationship. Now, I'm able to see her Facebook account and it says she's got a new BF, but that he lives in a different state. I'm really confused. I left it alone and sure enough a few days later she says Hi again via txt. We don't talk much. The weekend passes and I send a txt cause I want to be friendly because if this is an opportunity to possibly be with her again I don't want to mess it up, but at the same time I don't want to be pathetic and seem like I really want a relationship because I don't want one right now, but at least something that could lead back into one. I guess I'm asking if I'm looking into this too much, but I'd like some input on what her intentions by all this might be. What should I do now?
My advice would to just be friends with her, for now. Don't bring anything up about dating again. because like you said, you tried to to get her back on multiple occasions and she ignored you. Plus, if she does have a boyfriend right now. that's a lot of drama that you'd be getting into. Wait until, she brings something up about dating you again, because the ball is in her court.
Another thing, if she does have a boyfriend in another state than she could just be lonely and that's why she contacted you again... because she wants attention. - A month ago

I totally get what your saying. If I was you I would continue to be friends with her but don't get your hopes up on it turning into something more it just makes it a lot harder if it doesn't turn out like you planned
