My ex broke up with me 3 months ago because he didn't have feelings for me. It was really hard for me and he knew that and tried to help me through it. I took some time to work on myself and now he is emailing me all the time and inviting me out.
Based on what I know about him (we were together 3 years) I think he wants me back or at least misses me. He says conflicting things. for example he invited me to spend some time with him, then said he didn't know if it's a good idea and the said he would pick me up.
He keeps trying to spend more time talking to me and keeps trying to see me. And I do want him back.
Is it possible he wants me back but is worried I will reject him now (cause I am showing little interest in him anymore) or that if it dosen't work out I will end up hurt all over again?

Most likely he really wants to still be friends with you, if he treats you differently than the other girls than he wants you to come back to him, why don't you just talk to him directly about it and have a personal discussion about what you two seriously want from the relationship? good luck
Invite him somewhere and try to talk things out. It seems like he is conflicting with himself over whether or not you are okay with giving him a second chance or even want to be around him at all. Probably if you started asking him to go places with you more he will see that you are interested in him still.
Well, to be honest, I think you are right about him missing you. I'm really not sure about whether he wants you back, but I know him less than you. Try going out on a few friendly dates and see how it goes.
