well for one I respect you because you want to keep your promise and not many guys remember their promises or just don't want them anymore. and its sweet that you love her. I just think you should sit her down. and really sit her down with no one around and tell her that you still love her no matter what happens. and tell her you understand she likes another guy but that doesn't change anything in your head! and then say now I have one thing left to do.and kiss her as best as you can. that might change her mind. but if not. then I am sorry but it would give me something to think about if I were that girl! :]
