When a real relationship ends it is similar to the grieving process. That's normal.

If you do date other guys as a solution, make sure they are player guys who want action without commitment. Rebound relationships don't work and there's no fairness in passing your baggage on to someone who really cared.

Short term: find a new b/f, do drugs.

Long term: Find new positive activities, friends and of course let time heal. Avoid contact, no checking up or "how are you and who is she" calls.

Belleza Do drugs you kiddin right wat do I look like I wanna show that I'm not over him -there r plenty of fishes out there in da sea - she should be actually sayin that but seriously do drugs how do you just say that to anybody? - 10 months ago
Answerer If you're stupid enough to DO Drugs because of some guy on the internet told you to then you should do it. I said it as a joke as the obvious real advice was under the "long term" route. - 10 months ago

It's going to be tough at first. But first, you need to erase his number, and messages, and ignore them when he does call you or message you. Don't go visiting any of his Myspace or Facebook sites because they make you keep coming back once you start. Once your mind is set to erase him, give your heart some time to follow you the way. Go out with your friends, go work out, find yourself a new hobby, make new friends, take a roadtrip, give yourself a make over, even take more shifts from work, do anything to keep yourself busy from thinking about him. It's still going to take some time, but you'll get over him either way.

Just think of all the bad things that he's ever done and all his bad qualities. Find things to do so you are not thinking of him-go hang out with your friends. Breakups get easier as you get older don't worry.

Go out with friends, have fun, party it up, go shopping, think, now your single you have no one to hold you back. it may suck in the beginning, but it will get better. being single isn't that bad.

You get to wrapped up in the guy. Find things to do with yourself after a break-up. Don't dwell on it, pick yourself up and look for way's to make yourself happy.

Don't make any contact them.
The relationship is over, so don't text him asking why he dumped you, don't leave a hundred messages on his answering machine either, it just makes you believe you'll get him back when really, you wont.
Go hang out with friends, stay away from phone, computer or anything that you can contact him with.
Put away anything he has ever given you, and delete his texts.

And then wait.
You will need time, these things only lessen the time.
As stanley said, grieving is normal.

Good luck!

I wouldn't suggest doing anything self destructive like drugs or a ton of alcohol because that only masks your feelings and the next day you feel like crap x2. I always enjoyed spending extra time with friends. I used them to vent to and help me sort out my feelings.

I also liked scheduling a massage or other spa treatment to relax. I've also taken mini trips road trips alone and checked myself into a nice hotel, ordered room service and watched movies all weekend. The down time always gave me a chance to get back in touch with who I am. I noticed you're under 18, but you can always pamper yourself at home or around town. Get a manicure or pedicure, take a candle lit bubble bath, buy some great smelling lotions, etc.

Another thing that helped was stepping back and finding the things I do have to be thankful for. Friends, family, health, decent job, good grades, running car, etc.

Hope you're feeling better soon!
