Guys, what is the chance of getting back together with an ex girlfriend after you decided to be just friends?

Be 100 percent honest, would you get back together with an ex girlfriend if it ended on good terms and you wanted to remain friends? Especially if you were "not over" her yet and you told her you still cared about her. Or once a guy deems a girl just a friend, do you just not go back? He says he wants to move on and that he doesn't want a girlfriend right now.

I'm just wondering if sticking around and being his friend will hopefully bring us closer together and spark his interest again.

i have done that before. I went back to her after about 2 months. but during this time, we kept in touch but she always forced the issue. secondly, I loved her a lot and I only moved away so I could take care of my life for once. problem was. we "dated" for 2 years afterwards, but I never gave her a promise of marriage. so she found someone else and slept with him within a week. don't do that! =)

make sure you really want him. don't get back at him cos your ego is hurt. do it only if you are willing to stick by him and show him that you are there for him. and if you get tired of him, let him know. ok this might not be working out or work through the problems. don't lead anyone on.

You're qualifying this with the limitation "not over her yet", which makes it difficult to answer. If I wasn't over her, then the relationship wouldn't be over. But to answer within the perimeters you've placed, I would remain friends with the hopes that we would eventually be together as a couple again. Personally once I break up with a woman I don't go back. What would be the point?

In your situation the guy has told you he wants to "move on", meaning he doesn't see you being in his future as a girlfriend. He might not have found a replacement for you yet, but he's wanting to shop around for a better model.

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 3 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Are you O.K.? Because heaven is a long fall from here.

Bond. James Bond.

What's your sign?

How do they typically respond?
They usually give me that "what an idiot" look. And then I laugh and let them know that I am aware that the line is bad, but it's worse to not meet someone that you are interested in. Typically I get a positive response to that; everyone wants to do well in the dating game and the ladies know that even the best players miss a pitch or two.

Do I have the right approach?
