Well, I’ve met this guy and his friend about 3 weeks ago, since then we’ve been hanging every weekend (not only me, also with my best friend) for dinners, and just going to the beach and having fun. We always meet the 4 of us (2 girls 2 guys), and we really get along… there are no signs of sexual tension between us, maybe sometimes awkward silence, but nothing that can indicate on a romantic interest .. Though, sometimes I wonder if we can be more than friends … Do you think the guys are wondering the same thing? Or we’re just friends and nothing more...
In my experience, this is impossible. One of the parties always has an interest and will keep it to himself/herself to keep the friendship along. But, eventually - weeks, months, or even years (I have seen it) later one of them comes out.
I have seen so called great friendships ruin relationships between couples (married and not), and I personally would never, ever, trust this setup.
I can't marry every girl I like. Maybe it could have worked like that a few thousand years ago. It still works in a few cultures/ parts of the world. Not now though. I marry whom I hope is the "best one for me" and the others I keep as friends. It applies the same from the opposite side as well...
You definitely can be just friends, if that's what you want to do. The guys might be thinking what you are, but the only ways to find out are: 1) to keep hanging out with them and see if they make a move, or 2) flirt with/make a move yourself and see how they respond to it.
They can be just friends. Someone is probably romantically interested in someone else in the group. That's how it always is. Everyone starts liking each other because you spend so much time together. Whether you act on it or not is another story.
