I told him I was a virgin on our 3rd date and he said he was fine with it. (I'm 23 he's 27). That night I wanted to have sex with him, but he kept holding back. Then we hung out a few days later and he said he wasn't going to pressure me anymore, which then turned into him not being affectionate (I wanted to make out...) He also said that he's glad we didn't have sex because he doesn't want to ruin my first time and take something special away from me?!?!...I told him I like the anticipation and said waiting and taking our time was fine. He then couldn't stay long that night because he had to wake up early (this was 11:30pm, and we usually stay up together till 4am!)...anyways I don't know what to think of this...i don't want to get my heart broken :(...let me know what you guys think of this?
He really just might want to be SURE you are ready. If the signals are not absolutely clear, he may feel like he's pressuring you. Some guys don't care one way or another, but others do, and he sounds like he could be one that does. He would rather not screw up the first time for you and have you resent him. The other thing you have to remember is that guys are retarded. If he thinks he is pressuring you, he might shut down all together affectionately (because he doesn't want to get you or him worked up). I think the best thing to do is to talk to him about it. I could be way off base because I don't even know if he is that type of guy! What 19love said about the "v-card" is another possibility, if that is his personality. Hope that helps.
i have a lot of guy friends. non that old but all guys are the same. most my friends say they will never take a girls v-card. I thinks its because they think if they take it and then things don't work he will feel like you will be cliggy becaus he was your first. if things work out between you to I'm sure he will be happy to be your first. but I think its still early for him to make a commitment like that after 3 dates.
