Girls, Guys, What do you hate most about the dating thing !!

I know it's tradition and it has always been this way, and probably always will be, the fact that us guys, males, almost all the time have to be the ones to pluck up the courage and take the initiative, make the first move and start a conversation, and ask the girl out. Overall, that us guys have to initiate everything or just about everything with a girl.

dating is soo awkward. Have you ever looked in a restaurant and saw just a man and woman? well, look at the woman's face, not exactly happy all the time. I'm not saying this for all women, but it's my conclusion.

I hate dating unless I've known them and already have my heart set on the guy. I used to be bored and courageous to meet random guys but now that I'm older, I now believe that the guy of my dreams must be around the corner rather than miles away. lol I hate meeting guys through the internet too... lol

The fact that I have never had a date.

when the two of you are out and around other people/friends and you don't know how to act. for example...am I secret or not?

i hate the whole calling and texting thing like... you know there's supposedly that time limit thing to it like, after going out on a date how long you should wait till you call them or text them again. or even before that. I would love to text the guy I like but I'm afraid that I'm bothering him or something, but really I just want to know how his day is going or whatever because I really care.. ugh the whole thing is stupid..

the uncertainty because I don't really know the person and after a while the realization that they weren't for you and it was just a waste of time.

mind games, whay can't it be more straight forward. Its complicated and fustrating. Your update explains what I mean - can't say/do this because you might hurt them etc.

I hate the insecurity and pain of knowing I'll never look like the girls in the posters on their walls.

Never dated, so I don't know what I'd dislike about that. What I don't like about flirting is that I assume I'm never going to get anywhere, so then I feel silly and wonder if the guy thinks I'm pathetic and throwing myself at him. Yeah, low self-esteem, I know.

mixed signals...justs exhausts you mentally, because you're constantly thinking what the other person thinks about you.

I hate it when a guy begins to crowd my space, surely guys need to realise we had a life before we started to date. Guys that want to take control of you and pass too many judgements, the way you dress, make up, which friends you have etc.. Guys that are boring...the stay at home types hate hate hate them. Flirting is flattering to both but it needs to be timed just right, so it doesn't seem sleazy or that he is just after sex (which he probably is..lol). Another thing that really annoys me is when a guy just doesn't get the message that you no longer wish to date him after two/three dates. I wish men had more guts to say they don't wish to continue with the dating if that is the case. I could go on all day but I'll stop at that..lol.

The fact that people basically aren't "allowed" to say what they honestly feel or mean.

Being a shy guy. Knowing that girls want the super-confident, socially secure, fun and adventurous "Alpha Man" which doesn't always feel like a possible image to live up to. Not feeling like I'm good looking enough to attract girls. Just a number of things that dampen my confidence and make me wonder how long it's gonna take to get a handle on things...

i hate the fact that some girls best friends and friends will go against her boyfriend and start saying things behind his back and they keep on going until the girl breaks up with her boyfriend. I would understand if he had done something to them but if he did nothing wrong and as soon as he got with one of the girls friends they start to target him and say things that can be untrue and they pretty much force the girl to break up with her boyfriend

sneers blank stares when I flirt with girls/women or give them compliments.

The general lack of interest lack of flirting overall and lack of genuine flirting. I was flirted with maybe a couple of times this year, all of them fake, most from the same girl. I hate flirting when it's not real, so I'd prefer NO flirting whatsoever, which is what I usually get. Not being flirted with is better than being flirted with dishonestly, but it's a lot worse than if I were flirted with for real.

Asking the girl out, then having them reject me (especially when they're nasty about it) and when they suddenly ignore me completely afterward, or try to avoid me. It makes me feel as if I did something horribly wrong, when I just asked them out for coffee.

Lack of a dating life/options for a dating life.

Dating weird girls. It feels a little weird when you're not sure what's going to set them off or why you're getting the silent treatment every time you go out. Now this is girls that don't listen to you, girls who cheat, girls who have horrible tempers, girls that want to move in with you after a week, girls who want to call 5 times a day and have hour long conversations, etc.

I hate that it is almost all the time up to the guy to make the first move and start a conversation, ask the girl out, and initiate the date and relationship, I know that is Tradition, it has been that way for a very long time, I'm just not good at it that's why I hate it, I'm not a talkative person.

The fact that you can't be upfront from the start and all the little games we have to play in the beginning. Mixed signals too.

The thing that I hate the most is that you can't be upfront, it's more like playing a card game.

The only downside I've experienced with dating is when the women I date aren't honest about their intentions. If they were honest and direct with me as often as possible, I would embrace the process that much more.

Mixed signals. That's the most annoying thing to me.

That I love and hate people and things about them and myself very easily, so I can't really have a stable relationship...
