It seems that no matter how hard I try, I only seem to attract one type of guy: the really really really REALLY socially awkward type. I've tried to get my type interested in me more, but it doesn't seem to work. Any advice?

If you keep the same old habits, it won't happen.
It takes hanging out in different places, sharing new interests ( such as hobbies or activities ), changing and/or improving your appearance.
But it's got to start with some type of a change if you are going to get a different type.

One "type" of guy. That's a real heartless comment. So how do you define this type?

Its just for the dudes who are attracted to fame that you have to be like glam dolls. Otherwise you do get nice folks lingering around who wouldn't mind if you are there in ur plain old self too.

Argh! I have the same problem. Basically I have to make do with what I am given. If they are socially awkward I introduce to them the not socially awkward circle or if they are too nerdy to function I let them know it's ok to be a nerd but it's cool to be able to relate to people and not live in a star wars infested bubble for your entire life. That phrase when life gives you lemons make lemonade come to mind. Plus. Some of those socially awkward boys just need a good haircut and cool pair of shoes to look completely normal and gosh darn cute.
on the other hand if you are really dissatisfied with the uber nerds and the lemonade doesn't work out so great. Try going out more to different places and meet different people. Go out to a different club or go out and do something exciting or adventurous and just meet a lot of new people. This should hopefully get you out of the pattern.

Advice: How To Impress Your Date
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 20 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I honestly don't have any pick-up lines really, I may flirt a little to see if the girl flirts back, and I'll then just ask if she wants to do something with me on the weekend.

How do they typically respond?
It depends, sometimes they'll flirt back then turn me down, usually though they flirt back and we end up dating

Do I have the right approach?
