We broke up 6 months ago, we're together for just over 2 years. We were best friends, 'got' each other like no one else, the relationship was great. I'm torn because I do miss him but feel like it's too difficult to be 'just friends' with him, but than he's the only person in the world who knows and gets the real me, and me him. Anyway he was really struggling with his studies and didn't have much time for me, he thought/could tell I was unhappy about it and decided to break up whilst it was still good and thought I would end up hating him and deserved more etc. I told him it's not what I wanted but had no choice but to accept his wishes. We met a month later (prebooked concert), had the best time, flirting, he held my hand, bought me dinner etc, I said I still wanted to be together, he just hugged me and left, not a word. He's also been blank texting me a lot so I finally replied a few weeks ago, we spoke all day, it was great and easy and he said how glad he was that we spoke (no mention of 'before'). Any advise?

You're ready to become friends when you no longer want a physical relationship with him.

That's just my opinion, not yours.
Cheers.
