Ok, about a year and half ago, my half-sister and her boyfriend had broken up. Lately, we've been talking. Is it ok for me to go with him?

Though it sounds inadvisable on the surface, I think that the best thing to do would be to approach her about it. This way, not only will you have a better understanding of what to expect and how to proceed, but, furthermore, you will be honoring her and showing that you do respect her and do value her input. Obviously, should you and her disagree upon having talked, this in no way means that you should immediately drop all hope of pursuing the said "ex," although any actions from then on should be taken with care and great thought.

No. I personally as a sibling, half or nay, would not enjoy the idea of my ex and my brother hitching together. It'd be completely awkward, not to mention how much hurt you'd bestow upon your half-sister. If you care about her feeling you'd never do that to her.

No, it's not ok at all. You would flip out if she dated one of your exes. You should never put a guy in between your sister or best friend. That's just not right and it shows who you care more about.

Plus, how do you know he's not liking you because you remind him of your sister? You want him to think of your sister every time he sees you?

Ummm. If I were you I wouldn't. If he comes around the house it's going to be awkward for your sister. Also, that's kind of like a slap in the face to your sister like, "you guys broke up sis, now it's my turn. "

I'd say that's definitely a sticky situation. Ask her first, and make sure there's no feelings there from either side. If there's any question at all, it's better to stay away from that one. It's not worth estranging or straining a family relationship for a guy. Also, you might ask her why they broke up. She may shed some light on his character and steer you away from a potentially bad relationship.

This answer is easy:NO! The best friend rule applies to sisters as well, you don't touch exes. There's a reason he's an ex, do you really want to find out for yourself why? Also you could potentially ruin your relationship with your sister. It's an act of betrayal and a potential Jerry Springer case. Need I say more? I'd kick my sister's ass if I found out she was dating an ex. If you really cared about your sister you wouldn't even be considering this.

I would say no. I believe friends and relatives ex's are off limits. It makes things complicated and weird and it's a respect thing
