Why do women like guys that are taller then them?

For me if a guy is shorter than me it's a turn-off but other than that I could care less how much taller than me they are because I'm 5'11 so it looks weird if I dated a guy that is say 5"7 that's a no go for me lol. I have always been taller than most guys its nothing new for me, I see shorter guys and I think they are cute but there is something about the guy being taller than you that gives him an even more masculinity about him. With me it's an association thing to because same thing with guys looking for a girl like their mom I'm looking for a guy like my dad who was 6'4. It is such a safe felling being in your man's arms and you look up to him and he bends his head to kiss you or lifts you up to him. I think that is a big part of it it just makes us feel feminine in a good way and that we have a protector of sorts I guess you could say. Now I'm not saying that I couldn't get the same feeling from a strong guy that was my same height or just a tiny bit under but if he was more than a couple inches shorter I would feel awkward especially in a standing kiss. I don't know why a girl would care how tall a guy is as long as the guy is taller than themselves. Maybe the girls you have talked to are just used to guys even taller than you or they think that you can't take their exes if they decide to fight you lol I don't know just threw that out there. These girls seem to me to be superficial because height shouldn't matter as long as there is attraction and compatibility a girl won't care and shouldn't care about your height end of story. (btw I figured I'd answer one of your questions since you answered mine lol)

Some like for a guy to be closer to their height, some like a significant height difference. Overall, height does play a role in attraction, but it really depends on the girl.
