We met nearly 6 months ago, very briefly, instant chemistry, kissed, asked for my number. We usually speak every couple of weeks, to keep in contact until we both have the time to meet. I text him first (pretty 50/50 usually) asking how he was, no reply, that was 2 weeks ago and haven't spoken now for 4 weeks. Last few times we spoke he was saying how he was stressed from starting is new job and suggested we should finally meet, cook for me or drinks etc. Should I try to contact him 1 last time or leave it? I know he has a week off work now.
FYI it's been 6 months as when we met we were both about to start exams, graduating uni, finding new jobs, moving houses, summer with family etc (and I had just got out a serious relationship).
You'll never know if you don't try. Do it and if it works out GREAT! But if not it's not the end of the world. Really there are so many great guys out there it's not funny (among the asses). I still believe in serendipity, maybe you should too. Have faith in guys too and don't write them off right away.
Also it doesn't sound like you guys have much time to be with each other. New job? Exams? Moving house? That puts a lot of stress on the relationship, also the fact of not being physically together can hurt too.
It can be really hard to sustain anything without physical contact. But, hey, you have kept up communication for 6 months, though it is limited communication. The reality is that in a situation like this it would not be unreasonable for one or the other of you to meet someone locally and start up a relationship with that person. I would have to say you did text him, he has your number and he has not started his own communication or responded to yours, so that kind of makes it clear that you are not on his mind at this time.
So, sure, you can try and contact him again but I probably wouldn't have waited 2 weeks to consider that. Regardless, you should ask yourself why this very hands-off non-committal deal is working for you and if it is really working for you now. Seems an unnecessarily long time to stay with someone and not try and meet, in my opinion.
