I have heard somewhere that we end up being with someone who lives within a 5 block radius or someone that we know through our social circles ( work or other ) .

says who? well having a boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't mean that you end up with that person...I hope so though! i met my current boyfriend on MySpace haha and he lives in another country but close like 2 hours flight!
I met my girlfriend at coffee shop in a book store. I made the first move. The store is in a different city then the one I live in but as it turned out she's from the same city as me.
Unfortunately I can't prove or disprove the theory that you always end up being without someone who lives within a five block radius of someone you know. She certainly doesn't live within a five block radius of me but it's entirely possible she lives within the limitations of someone I know.
