Seriously. Say you are one of the most popular guys in school. You have a standard to keep right? Like dating only popular girls, and if you like a not-so-popular girl, why do you feel like you have to keep it a secret? I personally think it is crap. What does everyone else think? It varies depending on who the guy is. This popular guy who you talk about and who wants to stay popular by only dating popular girls sounds more like an egotistical guy who has a small penis. He will realize as soon as he graduates that popularity no longer matters as soon as you walk across that stage. A smart guy who is worth dating will not turn down a good girl who is intelligent and likable just because she's not "popular" or on the cheer leading squad. The popular girls are always the biggest bitches anyway.
For me, no, I would not give a rat's ass about how popular the girl I like is. especially if i'm popular myself because i'd probably come up with a way to twist the other people's thoughts about the girl around. on the other hand, if this guy is psychologically weak, and uses his popularity to boost his ego, then yes, he would only date popular girls
