There is a girl I'm falling for. How should I go about asking her how she feels about me / us without being too emotional. I'm not about to confess my love or anything, but I want to know where this thing between us is going.

Have you known her for years? Months? Weeks? Days? If it's just days or weeks, it's probably too early for a status check. If it's longer, than it's probably okay to bring it up, but be sure to keep it light and non-threatening. Maybe look into her eyes and say "You are really great, you know that? " Or something like that. You don't have to ask her for a response explicitly. Just see what she says in reply, if anything. That should tell you a lot. Good luck!

Its very simple actually. Instead of beating around the bush and trying to figure her out just ask.
I went for coffee with a guy, and point blank said " Look I am very interested in you - am I waisting my time or is the feeling mutual. Its been 15 years and we are still together.

Good Luck

Well, it all depends on what level of relationship you have with this girl. Are you friends? Are you acquaintances? Does she even know you? I've always believed that "true" friends will respect how each other feels irregardless of the outcome. I actually confronted a girl straight up and it may not have been the best way, but I"m that kind of guy that's straight up. I guess I could have done it in a better way, but I'm not about dragging it on. I'm more about, tell me you feel the same way or you don't so we can both move on with our lives. But, I expect the other person to understand and know that whatever answer they give me, I will respect and understand no matter the outcome. If you sit back and wait, the window of opportunity may close some day. You'll also be making yourself love sick for a very long time. Women like confident men so pull her aside and ask her for a minute of her time and tell her how you feel.
