Is it normal to really like someone when you are with them (on a date) and that you want something to happen, and when you don't see them, you start doubting about the situation? I have this all the time and I should probably also say I think I have a commitment issue but overall, do other people have this feeling?

Yes it's normal, it's called attraction. I'll let you in on a secret. Men love the chase. If he doesn't call you for a week and it is you that calls him first then he automatically assumes you are interested in him because you were tired of waiting to have him call you first. Do you get it? As for commitment, you should have your guy see other women and let him know that you will be dating other guys as well. When you both realize that the two of you get along well together later on, then you can suggest to your man that you two should date exclusively as in just the two of you and no one else. Being committed to one person at the start of dating each other is really hard. For example, let's relate this to ice cream. Me, I'm a chocolate lover but sometimes I want to try Rocky Road or a mix of Bubble Gum flavored with vanilla. Sticking to only one flavor can get boring but if you mix it up once in awhile then you realize how much you miss your favorite flavor all by itself. Try it, you may actually get over your commitment to only one man.

I think it's normal. It happens to me way too often. I think we do this to protect ourselves from getting too emotionally attached too soon. I do it all the time. One moment I'd think the guy is into me and I'm into him. The next moment I'll start analyzing the frequency of his calls, what he'd say to me, and would conclude that perhaps either he isn't that into me or maybe we're not all that compatible. I hate this part of dating the most. The guessing and second guessing.
