I was in a 2 and a half year relationship when I met this guy. He turned my world upside-down and inside-out. Made me realized how unhappy I was with my current relationship. My boyfriend and I were fighting constantly, even before I met this guy. I often found my eyes wandering, wondering what it would be like to be with another. I never acted upon it though. Then everything changed. This new guy made me realized just how much greener the grass on the other side actually is. But anyway, long story short: because I was in such a long-term relationship, his friends did not approve of my talking to him. It got even worse when they found out my boyfriend and I had broken up. Now they're thinking of me as THAT girl. The one who leaves one guy for another. But I'm seriously not. I just didn't want to do something I would later regret, like cheat or something.
My question is, guys, do your friends influence you when it comes to dating? Can they persuade you to change your mind about a girl after you've chased her for so long?
Yes, a guys friends have a big influence. But you are now the 'ex-girlfriend' which makes you 'that girl' and you left him for another guy. personally, if it happened to me, it wouldn't have mattered if you cheated or not.
