This boy just started at my work recently he is 21 and I am 17. We both attend the same university and have the same major. I think he started late because we have many of the same courses.
Anyways he is very sweet, I felt a mild connection at work. At least I know we both intentionally brushed our hands by each other and stood breaths away from each other. And every night after we would close he would wait with me by my car or just walk with me by my car. One night I text him I was like I'm so bored.
So he was like lets go to movie tomorrow. So we did go. He paid for everything, which was surprising because I did not think he would do that. He held all the doors open for me and walked ahead of me on the stairs. He was really a gentleman.
So during the movie he slouched close to me most of the time and I wanted to like make out with him and stuff but he kept his head leaning on his hand covering his mouth. But he he made sure to be near me the whole time. So I don't know maybe he is just really modest
At the end of the "date" or whatever it was he walked me to my car. And I could only manage to give him a half hug and a thank you as he hurried off.
Later like 2 AM he text me goodnight. I dunno
We texted back and forth all day today it's been 2 days since. But we don't text nothing flirty or romantic. Just things friends would text. But we text from morning till midnight so I dunno

Well from your description, it appears that he likes you. Also if he paid for the movie then I would consider it a date. I again feel that if a guy is going to go through the effort of texting all day and not seem bored by it or want to cut it short than he is liking you. He may be a shy guy though, so you may need to help him. Next time he walks you to your car or waits by your car, grab his hand before he gets away and lay a kiss on him. He will let you know exactly how he felt about it. He sounds like he is cool around you, so if it wasn't mutual feelings then he won't make it weird that you kissed him. If you are uncomfortable about kissing him then just grab his hand and be honest with him. Ask him what he thinks about you. If he sounds like just a friend then you know, but if he sounds like more then you will both be happy. Hope this all is making sense.
