So there is this guy that I met a couple of weeks ago. We made out and that was that. I called him last weekend to see if he wanted to hang out and he sent me a text messaging saying that he was sorry but that he had to work all weekend. He hasn't called back since and that was five days ago. The thing is, I really liked hanging and making out with this guy. I'm not ready to be in a serious relationship with another guy. There are too many strings right now for me to get involved in that. I'm a natural flirt (as I've been told) and I just love the free spirit and fun that guys bring. I just want to hang out and have fun. I don't want to smother this guy but I do want to see if he wants to hang out once in a while and just "have fun." How do I let him know that without turning him off or making him think I'm easy or something like that? Thanks.

I second the motion; this guy is not interested in hanging out..I mean, believe me, guys would do what it takes to get themselves in a position to hang out with a female, specially if both of you made out in the past; let's say that I was the guy that you made out with, and you were to call me, and I was working all weekend, as soon as I get your call, I would think "hell yea, that girl loves to make out', so my response to you would be, 'even though I'm working all weekend, maybe we can hang out another time..." Oh yea, and that's not to say that in the past, I've done all nighters and gone to work the next day like a zombie.....so yea, believe me, he ain't interested. IF you want to flirt, then call him back and say, listen, what about we meet and make out again!

Question Asker Thanks for the honesty. I think I may have made a mistake because when he sent me the message I responded back saying that I just called to see how he's been and to "talk." I knew it was a mistake when I did it so I think maybe he thinks I want something more serious. If I call back and flirt he still won't respond since he's not interested right? Thanks again! - 6 months ago
Answerer Well, what do you want to do---make out again? You're not interested in a relationship, and I'm sure you're not interested in discussing the deep meaning of life, so if making out is what you want, I would then suggest that if you were to call him again; you can be straightforward, or you can say, maybe we can have fun like we did the last time; that kind of leaves the door open. Fun as in hanging out, or fun as in making out... :) - 6 months ago

He's clearly not interested. Don't waste your time. If you where on his mind he would have called or ask you himself to hang out.

The only thing I can suggest is the next time you call or text have a definite plan.

If it is hanging out you want to do then invite him to go with you and friend or just yourself and have specific plans. If he declines move on.

Just hanging out is being casual as long as you don't mention the "commitment" subject...as long as you guys don't talk about that it'll always be considered casual. Just ask him to hang out and if you continue to not hear from him..then he's probably just not interested in being around you at all.
