Ok so I really like this guy and I think he might like me too, but I'm not totally sure because he keeps sending mixed messages. One week he made a lot of long eye contact. He smiled at me and looked into my eyes and stuff like that. The next week he made really short eye contact once. Then this week he just completely avoids my gaze and you know how they say that when a guy likes you he points his shoulders toward you, well he's been doing the opposite. He points his shoulders the other way and acts guarded and awkward. I'm pretty sure that he looks at me out of the corner of his eye. We were watching Romeo and Juliet, but I don't think either of us were completely watching the movie lol. The thing is that we are both really shy. He's popular and stuff but he acts really shy around me. When ever I try to make eye contact, he either turns away really fast or he is talking to a friend and smiles. I don't know its like sometimes I get really convinced that he likes me and other times when he avoids eye contact I second guess it. The big problem here is that school is over on friday and I have to ask him out or he has to ask me before then and we have exams wednesday, thursday, and friday. I have to either find some way to get him alone which is next to impossible or give him a note, but I don't know if its really bad to give a note or not. I have never actually asked a guy out because I'm a freshman this year. I seriously need help!
Well why not exchange phone numbers or aim names and hang out over the summer break? you don't have to confess your feelings just yet. This guy's mixed signals might really just be because he's a shy guy, however, if he keeps on ignoring you, then he might not be interested. It sounds to me like he shows tons of interest, then backs away, then shows interest, and backs away, etc.
Just ask him if he wants to hang out over the summer :)
It's a simple and easy way to get closer to someone without divulging your feelings for him.
