Does age matter?

I think that as long as your are both in similar stages of life (i.e. you are both ready to settle down and not just one of you) then age is just a meaningless number. If you didn't know how old you are, would that stop you from loving one another? no. Then it shouldn't play a part if you do know your age and each others age.

No, age does not matter at all don't worry about it. I'm 18 years old and my boyfriend is 26! It matters how you two feel about each other not how old you are.

Haven't you ever heard of a saying "age ain't nothing but a number" (courtesy of Aaliyah) because that's what age is a NUMBER! Your not an old man because your going on 30 - your an old man if you can't get it up and lying in your bed with one step away from death and doom! Your friends and her friends or should I say yours and hers stupid friends (no offense) are just laughing at the two of you - either saying this won't last I mean look at the age difference or having a good laugh out of all of this!
Society emphasizes on age matters, skin colors, race, gender, weight and religion everyday! It's in our human nature to do that because apparently it's all wrong to love one another from different variety of amount that I just mentioned! We are always going to judge and we are always going to laugh - the smart ones however who truly understand people such as yourself s will be actually proud of the two of you!
You know these are the reasons that couples such as yourself s don't last because you all care what people say about the two of you - you know what I would say I love him and that's all that matters to me - the rest let bygones be bygones!
Your not dating a minor - your dating someone who you found interest in - please my friends 22 and the last guy she went out with was 35 (well not that big of an age difference but still) people still judged but some actually honestly turned around and said "the two of you look so cute together" because they actually did! So don't worry about what people say - worry about the fact if this is placing a burden on her!

your friends and her friends are only having a laugh about it so don't be bothered or worried about it! a lot of people look down on people in a relationship with an age difference .me myself I've no problem with people and a age difference as long as its not like a 20 year gap or something because I just can't understand because people are usually on different stages in there life with age gaps but if your both on the same stage of life then great I wouldn't frown upon it.you and your girlfriend are obviously happy together there's not too much a difference so don't worry enjoy your relationship

This people are lying to u. "Age is only a number" my ass be realistic. If age is only a number why do we have restrictions why does ur 19 year old girlfriend ask you to buy her liquor. The guys are calling you the man for going out with a chick 10 years younger the girls are calling you a rapist. But, I don't think you really care or you would of dumped her already or kept her low key. .

It doesn't matter one bit. A lot of what you're experiencing is the result of social programming and nothing more. I wouldn't worry about it.

You're probably already the envy of the guys you know, and she's the same as women are commonly attracted to older guys for a variety of reasons. To her friends she's lucky because she got the unattainable guy, and since women are catty about such things they'll give her shit for it when deep down they all want a piece of you. Women are just crazy like that some times. Trust me there, I've seen it a hundred times.
