There is this girl I really Really Like and she says that she likes most things about me. We both agree that we do have different out looks on certain things in life but we both are willing to overlook those but she does not like the fact that I smoke. I know of all the health reason that I should not smoke but I still do. How is it that we both can over look many things but she can't and won't over look the fact that I smoke?
I should add an update here One thing that I have not said was that I do not and have not ever smoked around her due to the fact that I know how she feels about it. as far as me smelling like it, well due to work and other activities I have always been able to shower before seeing her so I am not smelling like it. As far as far down the road and if and when we were to ever live together, If I still smoke at that time I would not smoke inside, I don't even smoke inside my current place for many reasons.
Girls can get emotional pretty early. And she probably doesn't want to have a boyfriend that she knows will probably die earlier than she will. It's not that she doesn't want to accept you for who you are, it's that she wants to have you forever.
There may be something in her past where maybe someone has died from lung cancer or something. I am like her in a way. My dad died from lung cancer because of smoking and now I just hate it. My boyfriend does it every now & then but since I told him that he is more careful about how much he does it & about doing it around. My opinion is that it is your choice to do it but if she really doesn't like it maybe it would help if you don't constantly do it around her.

She's choosing to see that and she is obviously not willing to look over that. Tell her, 'Hey, this is me, either take it or leave it'. If she leaves it, it wasn't meant to be anyway and find a girl who will accept you for you. If she chose that little thing then later on she'll add to it by picking another one.
I don't date girls who smoke. If I'm attracted enough to them that I can over look that, I'll have them not smoking within a year or yeah, its "over" as you say XD.
I've had lots of issues with my family and smoking, and I'm not willing to go though the same shit with my girlfriend lol, simple as that =P.
In my opinion, quit smoking. She wins, and more importantly, you win, so everyone lives happily ever after :)
Smoker's mouth tastes bad. Skin, hair, clothes smell bad. House, furniture everything smells bad. When you guys get to live together, she will have to live with all that, which I can see why she is not backing off. The health reasons, money spent on it are also other issues.
